A day at camp
Same rhythm, new build
Every day follows one rhythm, so campers know what comes next and can keep their attention on the bench.
- 8:30 a.m.
Step 1: Sign-in
An adult on your list signs your camper in at the lab door, and a counselor walks each group to its bench.
- 9:00 a.m.
Step 2: Briefing and checklist
The group reads the day's checklist aloud and picks a role: reader, builder, tester or recorder.
- 9:30 a.m.
Step 3: Morning block
Build or code, depending on the week. Counselors ask more questions than they answer.
- 11:45 a.m.
Step 4: Lunch
Lunch from home in the cool lab room, with water bottles filled.
- 12:30 p.m.
Step 5: Outside or indoor time
Shade and the field in the cooler weeks, indoor games on the hottest days.
- 1 p.m.
Step 6: Afternoon block
The morning's work continues: test it, break it, fix it. Fridays swap this block for launch day.
- 2:30 p.m.
Step 7: Show and tell
Each group shows what changed since morning, and the counselors help them write it down for Monday.
- 3:30 p.m.
Step 8: Pickup
Counselors walk campers to the door, and an adult on your list signs them out.
